It’s the breath

     Before the first lightning strike

     In the coming storm

It’s the moment

     When Summer flies

     But Fall has not yet come

It’s the time

     When the sun has slipped away

     But darkness tarries

It’s the pause

     Before the plunge

     Into the unknown
