Trifecta gave us a challenging prompt in honor of New Year
this week. We were to come up with a New
Year’s Resolution – in 3 words. So, here’s
mine:
To Really Live
Bonus points for anyone who catches the movie
reference. I’ll give you two hints. One – the line happens at the end of the
movie. Two – the movie was done about
ten years ago.
I told you my resolution, what's yours?
Without Googling it, I couldn't guess the movie reference (and I'm not a cheater!)
ReplyDeleteHere's to living :)
I can appreciate that sentiment. Thanks!
DeleteOr otherwise you are dead. You said to read it like the "Hitchhiker's Guide, ;=)
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy New Year.
*laughing* I love it. Thanks!
DeleteSounds like a plan. :)
ReplyDeleteHere's to hoping I can follow through.
Deletehow often we don't..right? We just exist, go about our tasks and responsibilities and never really live up to our own potential. I love your resolution because I suspect I am guilty of not keeping it myself. I exist but I don't LIVE and I want to. I want to see everything I capable of.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR.
I know! That was what made me choose this as my resolution this year.
DeleteEnjoy you 2014 fully!
ReplyDeleteYou too!
DeleteWishing you a great year of really living!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope you will too!
Delete"Secretariat", I believe? To be true to yourself, to live as you were meant to be and to be satisfied with that, is a very powerful and life-affirming resolution. Good for you. May 2014 bring you a year filled with contentment and happiness in ways that are true to your soul. Happy New Year. :)
ReplyDeleteOoo. Not the movie I was thinking of, but I'll have to watch it as it appears to apply here. The one I was thinking of with this resolution was Secondhand Lions - the scene at the very end.
DeleteAnd I hope you have an amazing year as well!
